Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
